Pond Descriptions

  1. 2124 Meander

    2124 Meander

This is a picturesque cottage style landscape, with a stream meandering through garden beds and under a foot bridge into a pond. Guest enjoy the soothing sound of the babbling stream as they mingle on the veranda style porch or in the gazebo, all interconnected by brick pathways and patios.

  2. 12600 Lorraine St.

A long stream seems to naturally come from the woods edge and cut through the lawn. The stream ends with an eight foot cascading waterfall. Terraced nature rock retaining walls create an amphitheatre that projects the sound of falling water through open windows of the house, and makes a powerful impression for visitors as they approach the font door.

  3. 12941 Ridgewood Dr

    12941 Ridgewood Dr.

This aquascape is just short of being a water park, and on a warm summer day it isn't uncommon to find the neighborhood kids splashing around in this pond that features a small beach. Two streams feed this large pond that is bordered by a large patio, secluded sitting areas, and a hot tub. Another smaller pond and stream greet visitors as they come up the driveway.

  4. Seclusion Cove

This aquascape is an oasis of nature in the heart of a new development. This association water feature includes a large stream and waterfall. To address liability concerns the pond was designed with components that are used on the pondless water features, and the water level is regulated to remain only a few inches deep. This creates the image of a pond without the risk.

  5. 9191 Old Seward Hwy

Another example of a water feature used in a commercial setting. This pondless water feature frames a frontage sign with two waterfalls that pure off either end.

  6. 7270 Tarsus

    7270 Tarsus

A nicely proportioned pond and waterfall, his water feature creates a wonderful backyard focal point, and a beautiful visual and auditory highlight for the entire cul-de-sac in this corner lot.

  7. 8850 Runamuck Pl

This is the main headquarters for the tour organizers Green Acres Landscaping Construction & Aquascapes. Stop in to see the showcase water feature, and take advantage of the staff on hand to answer any of your pond questions.

  8. 2018 Sunrise Dr

    2018 Sunrise Dr.

See how anything is possible on even the smallest lots when you decide to go grassless. Every inch of this small corner lot holds interest. The property is surrounded in raised planter beds and freeform pathways connect patios. A large koi pond wraps the northeast corner of the house, and a tiered waterfall washes away any reminders of the outside world.

  9. 2822 Knik Ave

    2822 Knik Ave

An authentic tea house anchors this beautiful Japanese Garden. Two streams add the fifth Feng Shui element of water to this landscape full of detail.

  10. 1926 Loussac Dr.

This pondless waterfall is all about curb appeal. This water feature was seamlessly added to an existing landscape, and really brought it all to life.

  11. 4100 Romanzof Cir.

A gardener's delight, this protected backyard is wrapped in sweeping planter beds. At the heart of the landscape is a quiet koi pond, sheltered with a variety of marginal and water plants. This all forms a relaxing backdrop to work at your short game on the putting green that borders the pond.

  12. 2060 Arlington

    2060 Arlington

A quiet waterfall and pond was added to an existing planter bed. This is the type of aquascape that could be added to any backyard to bring life and sound to a landscape.

  13. The Bradley House Restaurant

    The Bradley House Restaurant

Coordinate this stop with lunch or dinner. Enjoy outside dining with a view of multiple waterfalls and the pond. Bring your putter and test yourself on the large putting green next to the pond.
